I work to help heal and promote freedom, freedom from fear in its numerous visible and hidden forms.
Welcome to my new website, on which I hope to tell you how and why I connected with the therapy process and how it changed my life and my career in midlife, becoming a therapist. My plan is to keep on forever, as the therapy process has changed and saved my life and continues to allow me to learn and grow so I can help others. I work to help heal and promote freedom, freedom from fear in its numerous visible and hidden forms.
My practice title attempts to describe part of the transformation that is possible with this work- it is MindHeartBreath LLC as the healing of therapy is systemic, and all parts are changed and connected.
Here are some words that describe a therapy/therapist like Kristin Moore, LCSW:
I was introduced to art and music as a child and kept up with both through various times in life, including the study of wind instruments and voice and an early formative exposure to craftwork and the magic of creating and building.
After an early partnership in craft business, I pursued a deep arts education - that then left me faced with making a living and fearful! Ignorant about how to proceed with art, I headed out on my own to invent a way of doing business that contained some value and authenticity. Starting from what little I knew, I learned how to find assistance and grow myself. The journey to becoming “suddenly” successful, was an education in itself.
I have been grateful for this adventure as it has helped me understand, first-hand, rather a lot about starting up from near zero to national representation.
As time passed and I worked in my own therapy process, this direction became a central focus of personal growth and business became more repetitive and less of an expression of self, an exercise in keeping on. Invited into a study group, business changes allowed me to pursue a graduate degree program. My second career as a therapist is a time of ever-further study and experience, and I am grateful to be of service to others on their own journey.
